5 Denver Broncos roster sleepers on offense in 2022
Denver Broncos roster sleeper no. 4: Trey Quinn, WR
Once the Mr. Irrelevant of the 2018 NFL Draft, Trey Quinn brings some interesting skill to the slot receiver position for the Denver Broncos with punt return abilities as well.
Quinn was not a traditional free agent acquisition for the Denver Broncos.
He wasn’t a reserve/futures signing.
He was signed after an impressive showing at one of the team’s minicamp sessions earlier this offseason, and now he’s getting a shot to compete for a roster spot next to a familiar face.
Quinn played part of his collegiate career at SMU (transferred from LSU) where he was teammates with Courtland Sutton, who was a second-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the same draft that Quinn was Mr. Irrelevant.
If you watched any of Quinn’s film from SMU in 2017, you’d find it rather hard to believe that he was Mr. Irrelevant in the NFL Draft.
He was making plays all over the place.
With quick feet and the ability to create separation with good routes, Quinn has a shot to become a contributor on this Denver Broncos roster if he can prove himself worthy in the return game and on special teams, in general.
One thing that will endear him to this coaching staff? Quinn is a willing blocker in the running game as well.
It’s hard not to like his potential with this roster especially if he can prove worthy in the return game.
