Who are the best quarterbacks the Denver Broncos will play in 2022?
A new season brings new opponents for each team. So, let’s take a look at the three best quarterbacks the Denver Broncos will play in the 2022 season.
Now that the Denver Broncos have a legitimate quarterback, watching football just got much more fun.
The schedule for the 2022 NFL season was recently released, and Denver got a solid deal, especially compared to their AFC West rivals.
Not only do they have the easiest schedule in the AFC West, but they have a plethora of primetime games and their bye week falls right in the middle of the season.
They’ve also filled necessary holes in free agency and the draft. For all intents and purposes, the team is ready to go.
Even though there isn’t much going on right now, I still pride myself on producing quality content for Predominantly Orange viewers.
For this piece, I want to look at the three best quarterbacks the Denver Broncos will play in 2022.
One of these men has not played Denver since 2015, so there’s a need to rank these players.
If you asked someone to rank the 10 best QBs in the NFL, you’d get 10 different rankings. I believe in taking an aerial view when ranking quarterbacks. I try to look at the complete product, instead of one or two things that make them special.
So, let’s rank the three best quarterbacks that the Denver Broncos will play in the much anticipated 2022 season.
Three best QBs Denver Broncos will play in 2022
3. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Justin Herbert is really, really good at football. He’s thrown for the most passing yards by any player through his first two seasons, amassing over 9,300 yards through the air.
He’s also thrown 69 touchdown passes.
So, through his first two seasons in the NFL, which should have been a great challenge, Justin Herbert is averaging about 35 touchdowns and 4,700 yards per season.
The scary part is that he’s probably only going to get better. The Chargers added another quality player to their offensive line in Zion Johnson via the draft, and they kept Mike Williams on a three-year extension.
They added a bunch of talent to their defense, which is going to take some pressure off the offense, and with Herbert entering year two of this new offensive system, there’s reason to believe he could toss over 40 touchdowns this season.
Denver will see him twice this year, obviously, but Herbert does indeed have a losing record as the starter, and a measly 2-2 record against Denver.
Herbert is clearly beatable, and if Denver was able to beat him with Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater, what does that say for the team’s chances with Russell Wilson under center?
Either way, Herbert is a star in the league and is one of the very best QBs in the NFL.
