Broncos projected 2022 tackles leader: Josey Jewell

This could go to just about anybody due to all of the uncertainty at the inside linebacker position. Because of injuries to Josey Jewell and Alexander Johnson last season, it ended up being Kareem Jackson, a safety, that led the team in that department.

So long as he stays healthy and is available each week, I’ll go with Jewell in this spot. In 2020, he was second on the team behind only Johnson with 112 total tackles for the year.

He will get some competition for his job this season including from free-agent signing Alex Singleton, who led the Philadelphia Eagles in tackles in each of the last two seasons.

Second-year star Baron Browning could also be a factor but like many of the categories on this list, it should be a group effort where several players thrive.

Prediction: Josey Jewell has 95 tackles
