Denver Broncos best five wins in the last five seasons
Best Denver Broncos games over last five seasons
2. Denver Broncos vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, Week 12, 2018
The final 2018 game on this list comes in week 12, where the 7-2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers came into town to play the 4-6 Denver Broncos.
The Steelers were favored by three this game and were clearly the better club. Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t beginning his decline yet, and this game ended up putting the Steelers on a bit of a losing streak, as they lost four out of five games.
This was a classic back and forth game; there were a bunch of lead changes and neither team seemed able to put the other away.
It was 10-10 when JuJu Smith-Schuster burned the defense for a 97-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter, which gave the Steelers the lead.
The Broncos tied it up soon after and took the lead on a Phillip Lindsay touchdown run.
However, the Steelers were driving late in the game. They got into the red zone and were essentially at the goal line.
On a mistimed play, Ben Roethlisberger errantly threw a pass into the endzone, where Shelby Harris managed to snag it out of the air and fell to the ground, giving the Broncos a touchback and ending the game.
This was a marvelous win against a really good Steelers team at the time but doesn’t really come close to the best win over the last five years.
