3. Las Vegas Raiders

I had a hard time putting the Raiders at three, but I do think the Denver Broncos just edge them out.

The Raiders added Chandler Jones in free agency to pair with Maxx Crosby, which makes a scary duo, but their interior pieces aren’t special, and their inside linebackers are decent at best.

With their ILBs, they added two former Broncos in Kenny Young and Micah Kiser.  They also added Jayon Brown and will bring back Denzel Perryman, who had a nice season for them last year.

None of these players are high-end, but rather will hover around that average-slightly above average tier.

Their interior defensive line is highlighted by Johnathan Hankins, an older, savvy veteran, and quality run stuffer.

This is still a very good unit.  In fact, it’s probably one of the best 7-10 in the league, but I think they are just barely third in the division.

The Raiders’ opponents are going to have to give a ton of attention to both Chandler Jones and Maxx Crosby.  This duo just might combine for 30 sacks this season.
