Where does Denver Broncos secondary rank in AFC West?

2. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have one of the five best secondary units in the NFL.

They’re led by Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson, the best safety duo in the league.

But, Denver has great cornerbacks in Patrick Surtain II, Ronald Darby, and K’Waun Williams.

Outside of those five players, the rest of the secondary unit is up for grabs.

It’s unclear who will end up on the active roster to begin the season, but Denver should end up having plenty of depth here.

Denver has better, higher-end players than both the Raiders and Chiefs in the secondary.

This is not news, though, as Denver’s secondaries have been among the very best in the NFL since the 2015, “No Fly Zone” season.

This has almost been a trademark for them.

Whether John Elway or now George Paton, there has seemingly always been a big emphasis on keeping the secondary cupboard stocked with high-quality talent.

However, they are unfortunately not the best unit in the AFC West.
