Broncos potential trap game No. 3: Week 12 at Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have many issues, starting with the quarterback position where currently, Sam Darnold is the starter. But it’s still a cross-country road trip for the Broncos coming off of a home game the week prior against the Las Vegas Raiders.

That should be a hard-fought divisional contest and on the other side of this Panthers game is the toughest part of Denver’s schedule, starting with a road game against the Baltimore Ravens followed by a battle with the Kansas City Chiefs.

It would be easy to look past the Panthers to see how the team stacks up against the Ravens and Chiefs but the Panthers would love to hand the team that beat up on them in Super Bowl 50 a loss in this game.

Panthers coach Matt Rhule has a 10-23 record in two seasons in Carolina and if the team starts trending downwards this season, he could certainly be coaching for his job by the time this game rolls around.
