All of the games within the AFC West division are going to be intriguing this year but for the Broncos, this one is highly intriguing mainly because of where it falls on the schedule.
It’s Week 4 and it’s on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, a team that has beaten the Broncos four times in a row. That’s a streak the Broncos need to put a stop to right here if they can.
And how good is this Raiders team? Every team in the division looks like a powerhouse and each one went out and made some big moves this offseason, but the Raiders hiring Josh McDaniels as head coach and then trading for wide receiver Davante Adams were two of the biggest moves of the offseason.
And speaking of McDaniels, this will be his first game coaching against the only other team he has ever been a head coach for. McDaniels’ tenure in Denver came to an unceremonious end and he hasn’t been a head coach since.
That was almost 12 years ago. He has used that time to get himself ready for the right opportunity and he believes he has found that in Vegas. He would love to shove it to his former team here.
And the Broncos would love to do the same. If Denver could go into Vegas and get this win, it could send an early message this season that this Broncos team is not going to be a pushover.
