Denver Broncos schedule: Toughest game no. 1

Week 17: @ Kansas City Chiefs

And here I thought the Denver Broncos might be getting the second game against Kansas City in the 2022 season at home.

The Broncos’ Week 14 matchup on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs was leaked early on schedule release day and with only four other weeks after that particular game, it made sense that the Week 14 matchup would be the last one between those two teams.

Until the playoffs, at least.

Instead, the Broncos and Chiefs will play each other twice in a four-week span.

Not only do they play in Denver for a Week 14 matchup, but the Broncos then head to Kansas City in Week 17 for what I believe to be the toughest game on the 2022 schedule for this Denver team.

The Broncos have a new coaching staff and a new quarterback. Although we expect them to be good, the Chiefs are a pretty well-oiled machine at this point and by Week 17 of the regular season, they will almost undoubtedly be firing on all cylinders.

It’s going to take the best the Broncos have got to win this matchup, and sometimes even your best against the Chiefs doesn’t matter.

Just ask the Buffalo Bills.
