Denver Broncos Week 2: vs. Houston Texans

WIN, 2-0

In the first two weeks of the 2022 season, the Denver Broncos play two quarterbacks that, depending on who you ask, might be among the five worst starting QBs in the league right now.

Obviously, my opinions about Drew Lock are well-documented at this point and I believe he’s in a good spot in Seattle, and I also quite liked what I saw from Davis Mills last year.

The Texans may not end up with a great record in 2022 but I think they’ll be interesting, at the very least.

I do, however, feel like this matchup heavily favors the Broncos.

Denver Broncos Week 3: vs. San Francisco 49ers

WIN, 3-0

Just like last season, the Denver Broncos start 3-0.

It feels weird to say that because it doesn’t feel like last year’s team was 3-0, but they were.

I think the 49ers present a tough challenge, of course, and that’s an undersell considering they were in the NFL’s final four last year.

Not that this potential victory depends on the quarterback, necessarily, but you can’t help but wonder if the 49ers will experience some early rough patches with Trey Lance under center.

Even if Jimmy Garoppolo is still the 49ers’ quarterback, I think we’re going to see a Broncos win at home here to get to 3-0.
