Projecting Denver Broncos starting offense in 2022

Tight end – Albert Okwuegbunam

The Denver Broncos selected Greg Dulcich in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft to perhaps fill the void left by Noah Fant.

I was not a fan of the pick, but he was a better college prospect than Albert O was coming out.  I think for now, though, Albert O is safe to pencil in as the TE1.

He is what the modern-day NFL tight end looks like, so Denver might be fine here, even if Dulcich doesn’t develop.

I think Okwuegbunam is going to have a very solid season catching passes from Russell Wilson.  He’s 6’5″, 260lbs, and has 4.5 speed.  He can outrun most linebackers and some defensive backs.

I’d think he’s going to be the perfect redzone weapon for Wilson.  For fantasy purposes, Albert O is great.

I think in the future, we might see Dulcich takeover as TE1, but I think for now and even in 2023, Albert O should be the TE1 in Denver.
