Running back (5): Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon, Mike Boone, Damarea Crockett, Tyreik McAllister

I was surprised to see the Broncos bring back Melvin Gordon but they were able to do so with a deal that wasn’t too costly, so the move makes sense, though I would have preferred to see the team target a player in the draft.

Gordon will still get a lot of work in his third year with the Broncos but the bulk of the carries absolutely must go to Javonte Williams, one of the most exciting pieces on the team.

Mike Boone is also another interesting player who the team should turn to much more in 2022 than it did last season. Boone did spend a good part of the season hurt but he was hardly used at all.

Damarea Crockett and undrafted rookie Tyreik McAllister will have an uphill battle to make the team but it’s also a good idea to have four running backs on a 53-man roster so the two of them could be competing with each other for a roster spot.
