Three Denver Broncos under most pressure after NFL Draft

3. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE

Albert Okwuegbunam is under some pressure after seeing what the Denver Broncos did in the 2022 NFL Draft.

One of their selections was Greg Dulcich in the third round, a tight end out of UCLA.  He possesses a lot of similarities to Albert O, and former tight end Noah Fant.

Dulcich can be seen as a de facto replacement for Noah Fant.  He’s also a much better and more polished prospect coming out of college than Albert O was, so we can reasonably think that Dulcich could eventually pass him in the depth chart.

Albert O does have a two-year head start, though, and as for tight ends in the NFL, they usually take a few years to hit their stride.

Well, Okwuegbunam is going into a very crucial year three, not only for his future with the team but for his development as a tight end in the NFL.

He’ll have the bonus of catching passes from Russell Wilson, and there’s really no reason to believe he can’t firmly begin the season as the TE1 on the depth chart.

He’s also been given some national attention as well.  Since Noah Fant was traded to Seattle, many have latched on to Albert O as a “breakout” candidate for 2022.
