Vanderbilt quarterback Ken Seals (8) fumbles as he’s hit by South Carolina defensive lineman Kingsley Enagbare (52) during the first quarter at Vanderbilt Stadium Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, in Nashville, Tenn.

Broncos select Kingsley Enagbare, DE, South Carolina

Kingsley Enagbare is a player who has really seen his draft stock take a dive as he was once considered a fringe first-round pick.

Enagbare has a great length and physical tools, he just needs some coaching to learn how to best use them.

He does not have the best acceleration when attacking the edge and his balance and body control need a lot of work. But his hand usage is terrific and he is quite explosive off the snap.

Enagbare had 15 sacks at South Carolina but there will certainly be questions about his effectiveness at the next level as professional offensive linemen could easily knock him off his path and make him quite ineffective.

However, if he could come into a good situation, such as one where guys like Bradley Chubb and Randy Gregory are in place, he could be coached up to hone his skills as a pass-rusher.

He has a great first step and his hand placement is where you want to see it. His problem will be learning the moves to make the adjustments to get around professionals who protect their quarterback for a living.

He is certainly an intriguing prospect but he does come with some risk and certainly some “bust” potential. But Denver could be the right place for him to completely blossom into that first-round level player some thought he was at one time.
