Denver Broncos Mock Draft: Broncos add cornerback to replace Callahan, Fuller
The Denver Broncos likely aren’t bringing back Kyle Fuller (performance) and might not bring back Bryce Callahan (injury risk) for the 2022 season, so the top-2 cornerbacks on the roster are Ronald Darby and Pat Surtain II. Denver still has promising cornerback Michael Ojemudia but he didn’t play during the 2021 season due to injury.
I wrote about Mario Goodrich in a previous mock draft. You can check it out here.
Goodrich is a 6-foot-2, 191-pound cornerback from Clemson and despite Andrew Booth getting most of the attention from the school, Goodrich should be another solid cornerback coming from Clemson.
Goodrich can play in man and zone defenses and there is an even greater need for variety with the arrival of Davante Adams into the AFC West. Tyreek Hill’s departure from the division was a huge bonus for the Denver Broncos, but it was countered with the addition of Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Goodrich ran the 40-yard dash at 4.52 seconds and can stay with some of the top receivers in the league. If the Denver Broncos draft him, I think that he should see significant playing time early on in his career.
