Three prospects to avoid for Denver Broncos

2. JoJo Domann, LB, Nebraska

Another position of need for the Denver Broncos is within their linebacking room.  JoJo Domann could be someone the team targets late in the draft to potentially develop into a starter.

However, I think Denver should stay away from Domann, who started out playing safety.

Domann is 6’1″, 228 pounds, so perhaps he’s just a bit undersized.  Additionally, he’d old.  He’ll turn 25 before the 2022 season begins and has been in the college ranks since 2016.

He’s also missed a ton of time with injuries, missing all of 2017, and missing parts of 2018, 2020, and 2021.

I think the age + injury history factor could be enough to knock him a ways down the draft boards.

He isn’t the best in coverage, isn’t that fast, and has limited range.

Honestly, he does sound a lot like Josey Jewell coming out of college, doesn’t he?

I am definitely wanting the Denver Broncos to target one or more linebackers during the NFL draft, but JoJo Domann doesn’t appear to be the best fit for the team.

His RAS score, which stands for Relative Athletic Score, is a 7.66/10, which is something George Paton has prioritized in his first NFL Draft.

He has targeted players with high-very high RAS scores.  In layman’s terms, the higher the RAS score, the better the athlete.

Overall, Domann would not be a “bad” pick, but I don’t think he’s the right fit for the Denver Broncos.
