Dating all the way back to the 1980 NFL Season, the Denver Broncos have always had at least one player make the Pro Bowl, until last year. Who changes that next year?

In what was a disappointing season from top-to-bottom for the Denver Broncos’ historic franchise, one stat speaks louder than most. Dating back to the 1980 season, the Denver Broncos have always had one representative in the NFL’s version of its All-Star game.

Many expected Justin Simmons, Von Miller at one point, or maybe Courtland Sutton to represent the team in the game that carried a flawed voting system, but none of them did. Justin Simmons, Patrick Surtain II, and Garrett Bolles were all selected as first alternatives, but neither of the three were actually added to the Pro Bowl Roster.

Bradley Chubb and Justin Simmons made it in 2020. Courtland Sutton did back in 2019.

What is encouraging about this is some say that you have to reach rock bottom before you can climb your way back to the top, which is exactly what I think the Denver Broncos do this season.

Expecting a more explosive offensive and a more opportunistic defense, there should certainly be a rise in not just publicity and national notoriety, but highlight plays that matter to the public eye too.

Looking at this incredibly talented roster, circling a future Hall of Fame quarterback in Russell Wilson, the streak will start over this season, I guarantee it.

But who will this streak start over with?
