Denver Broncos mock draft: Adding depth, eventual starters
The Denver Broncos have multiple picks in several rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. How might it play out?
The Denver Broncos have the following picks in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft:
64th overall pick (2nd round)
75th overall pick (3rd round)
96th overall pick (3rd round)
115th and 116th picks (4th round)
145th pick (5th round)
206th pick (6th round)
232nd pick (7th round)
234th pick (7th round)
The team added several key pieces to its roster this offseason, so despite having fewer selections in this year’s draft than last year, it does not feel like such a big deal.
In last year’s draft, the Broncos came away with several players who contributed significantly, including cornerback Pat Surtain II and running back Javonte Williams. Others, such as wide receiver Seth Williams and cornerback Kary Vincent, were unsuccessful as rookies. Williams did not make the roster cuts, and Vincent was traded last to the Philadelphia Eagles in November.
The addition of Russell Wilson signals win-now mode. The team will have a new starting running back in Javonte Williams for the 2022 season and they are also set at the wide receiver position.
There are some obvious holes on the team that will be addressed in the draft, and that is a big focus of what I did here in this mock draft.
