. QB. Arizona State. BrockOsweiler. 5. player. 854.

The Broncos’ second-round pick in 2012, Brock Osweiler did not have a great NFL career and many would even label him as a draft bust. And, don’t get me wrong, but overall, Siemian was a better quarterback for the team than Osweiler was as well.

But there is one reason and one reason only that Osweiler appears higher on this list than Siemian and that is simply for his performance in the 2015 season with Manning hurt. I firmly believe that if not for the way Osweiler filled in for Manning, the Broncos do not win the Super Bowl that year.

Osweiler started nearly every game in the second half of the season and guided the Broncos to key wins over Chicago, San Diego and Cincinnati. He also helped lead the Broncos to a massive overtime win over the New England Patriots and without that win, the Broncos are not the No. 1 seed in the playoffs that year and they do not have home-field advantage. Instead, the Patriots would have and they would have probably gone to the Super Bowl that year.

Osweiler’s career numbers are paltry and his decision to bolt Denver for the Houston Texans in free agency following that season made him highly unlikeable, but he comes in at the No. 5 spot here.
