What Denver Broncos could be entering final year with team?
Denver Broncos entering final season with team
2. Graham Glasgow, G
Glasgow is entering his third season with the Denver Broncos. In two years, he’s played in just 20 games and hasn’t exactly been the most effective.
He missed the final 10 games of the season in 2021 and agreed to a revised contract with the Denver Broncos. Seeing how that situation transpired, it was probably something like “We’re going to release you if you don’t agree to this.”
Now, armed with the ability to play at all three spots along the interior, Glasgow is needing to have a huge offseason to crack the starting lineup.
I do think there’s a possibility that Glasgow does not.
In that situation, you’d probably have Quinn Meinerz at RG, Lloyd Cushenberry at C, and Billy Turner/Dalton Risner at LG. Just because he’s not on a rookie deal, doesn’t mean he has to start.
However, in the event he is in the starting lineup, I still think he could be entering his last year with the team.
The Broncos could save $11 million against the cap if they released him after next season, according to Overthecap, which is a ton of money, compared to the small $3 million in dead money they’d have to deal with.
Glasgow is a decent player but hasn’t shown much at all during his time in Denver.
Handing him $11 million per year a couple of seasons ago seemed like a fair deal for an above-average guard, but he’s not given a strong return on that investment yet.
