Denver Broncos mock draft, pick 96: JoJo Domann, LB, Nebraska

One more time, Denver adds a lot of versatility with the past two selections here. Despite adding Bonitto and his adaptability, the Denver Broncos go the same route but this time at the linebacker position.

Nebraska’s JoJo Domann is a fascinating prospect, which is a theme for any defensive player this year. Domann offers potential opportunities at defensive back, linebacker, and free rusher. Before anyone comes after me for Husker bias, Domann is a great player.

He has Big Ten player written all over him, which is a rare thing for a Husker. Domann is a sixth-year senior who offers a lot of knowledge of whatever role he was playing. The versatility he has is even more impressive when you understand he played at 228 pounds.

Domann gives Denver another puzzle piece for a defense that needed a few additions. The fluidity Domann had at Nebraska in both coverage and linebacker was so impressive. You can see it in his coverage as a linebacker and as an instinctive free rusher.

Personally, I think Domann might be best suited for a Jamal Adams-type role. A player who you can use in any situation at linebacker. Not exactly a safety, but a player who best utilizes the instincts from linebacker and sometimes nickel corner.

There are also a few impressive plays that helped create turnovers for Nebraska on the season. One was a play against Northwestern. Wildcats were driving to the red zone with an opportunity to score. Domann forced a turnover giving it back to Nebraska’s offense. He’s a good football player.
