The Denver Broncos roster is about set. As we progress closer to the 2022 season, let’s make some way too early bold predictions.

The offseason activities are set to begin very soon, but we are still several months away from the beginning of the 2022 season.  The Denver Broncos and their starting lineup are mostly set.  George Paton may make another addition or two, but the players currently projected to start for the team should not change much..

The Broncos are now firmly in Super Bowl contention, so fans should expect a very strong team this season and beyond.

Russell Wilson is set to take this offense to new heights, and most of the players from the third-ranked scoring defense in 2021 are set to return for the Broncos and new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.

Each year in the NFL, mind-blowing things happen.  Records are set, absurd stat lines are posted, and hyper-athletic plays are made.

Since the Broncos have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, they figure to be one of the teams who will make a ton those records, insane stat lines, and wild plays.

As the Russell Wilson era in Denver is set to begin, let’s make some way too early bold predictions for the 2022 season.

Denver Broncos 2022 bold predictions

Russell Wilson throws more than 40 touchdowns

In 2020, Russell Wilson set a personal record when he threw for 40 touchdowns during the season.

In 2021, Wilson is going to break his own record and throw for 45 touchdowns.  The Denver Broncos offense, between the elite weapons and solid offensive line, is the best pool of players Wilson has played with in his 10 year career.

Why can’t Wilson break this record of his?  We routinely see quarterbacks throw for close to or over 40 touchdowns in a season.

In 2021, there were seven quarterbacks to throw for at least 35 touchdowns during the regular season.

Furthermore, in his first season with the Rams, Matthew Stafford had his best statistical season, throwing for 41 touchdowns.

In his first season with the Buccaneers in 2020, Tom Brady threw for 40 touchdowns.

Wilson is going to break this number.

With an offensive-minded head coach in Nathaniel Hackett now in the building, Wilson is going to be able to cook the way he’s wanted to his entire career.
