Denver Broncos should stay away from these three free agents

Denver Broncos free agents to stay away from

2. Kyle Fuller, CB

When the Denver Broncos signed Kyle Fuller, most in Broncos Country reacted with excitement.  What was a poor cornerback room for the team in 2020 instantly became one of the league’s best after the additions of Kyle Fuller, Ronald Darby, and Patrick Surtain II.

Not only that, the Broncos sported the best safety duo in the NFL with Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson.

However, all of Jackson, Fuller, and Bryce Callahan are now free agents, and there is no indication that the team is interested in bringing any of them back.

Denver still does have a need in the secondary.  They could use another starting-caliber safety, unless they’re confident in Caden Sterns, and could use another cornerback, even after signing K’Waun Williams.

However, even though Kyle Fuller has familiarity with the team and the system, the Broncos would be smart in letting him sign elsewhere.

Fuller was not good in 2021; he got burned constantly and was an overall liability in coverage.

He was held without an interception and earned a poor 47.2 PFF grade, which makes sense watching him on the field.

There are better cornerbacks to help the Denver Broncos keep a competitive secondary in the strong AFC West, but Kyle Fuller is no longer worth it.
