What options are out there?

At this point in the offseason, most of the good options at the cornerback spot have been signed. Those available are generally north of 30 years old or have had a spotty career, such as former first-round pick Vernon Hargreaves.

The biggest name still available is former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore, but his asking price may be a bit high. There is also a chance that the Broncos could have to play against Gilmore inside the division as both the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs have been rumored to have an interest in him.

The Broncos could choose to take a shot on a veteran such as Janoris Jenkins or Joe Haden as well, but those players would likely need to come in on team-friendly deals and prove they can still be worth the snaps they would take away from a younger player.

At safety, Tyrann Mathieu remains available but much like Gilmore, will likely be looking for a big payday.

The draft should provide the Broncos with some chances to find secondary help, particularly at cornerback where this draft should have many great prospects at that position even in the later rounds.
