After trading away Noah Fant in the Wilson deal, the Broncos could use more help at the tight end position with Albert Okwuegbunam currently slated as the No. 1 guy at the position.

Though it could be wishful thinking to hope that Trey McBride is still on the board with the No. 64 pick, the Broncos should pounce on him if he is.

Like Muma, McBride is also a hometown kid, having grown up in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He then attended Colorado State in Fort Collins. But this isn’t just any hometown kid. McBride is the best tight end in this draft class by a lot.

For that reason, teams looking for a tight end will target him early and he could even be a first-round pick. He is that good.

McBride is the complete package. He is a terrific blocker and will completely blow guys up in that aspect of the game. But he is a serious threat with the ball in his hands as well. Last year, he had a ridiculous 90 receptions, good for 13th most in the country, as well as over 1,100 yards receiving.

That led to him winning the John Mackey Award as the top tight end in the nation.

McBride could end up being a better pro tight end than Fant because he actually blocks so if the Broncos could somehow replace Fant with this guy, that would be a win.
