Three more free agents for Denver Broncos to target

3. Billy Turner, RT

Perhaps one free agent that makes the most sense for the Broncos to sign is Billy Turner, who spent the past three years in Green Bay, after spending the previous three seasons in Denver.

Turner has experience playing in the Nathaniel Hackett offense, so fit is not a question.

He’s also the best right tackle option available, and seeing as Denver does not have a viable right tackle on the roster, signing Turner makes a lot of sense.

Turner’s best season came in 2020, where he earned a 69.3 PFF grade, committed just three penalties, and allowed just two sacks.

Billy Turner is not an elite tackle, but he’s very solid and presents a scheme fit for the Denver Broncos.

He signed a $7 million per year contract with the Packers before the 2019 season, and being that he was just released by the club, he probably won’t command a ton of money, so Denver won’t have to do anything special with their cap space.

The right tackle market is not the best as of now.  Denver missed out on La’el Collins, but signing Turner could be a decent consolation prize.
