New Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is already out throwing touchdown passes to his new teammates. The crew is putting early work in.
On Tuesday, Russell Wilson tweeted out, “No wasted energy.” Later on Tuesday evening, Denver Broncos fans were treated to a trailer of what is to come in the 2022 season.
Wilson and some of his new Denver Broncos teammates are already out on a practice field (somewhere warm) getting work in, wasting no energy or time, for that matter.
It’s a glorious sight to behold for Broncos Country.
Russell Wilson organizes workout with new Denver Broncos teammates
When Wilson posted this video, Broncos Country understandably went a little crazy. The deep ball from Russell Wilson to Courtland Sutton is something that everyone is hoping to see a lot of on Sundays at Mile High.
But the media team capturing this particular video didn’t stop there.
There is more.
After seeing these videos and noting the players in attendance, it’s notable that Jerry Jeudy is not there.
Jeudy is expected to be one of the key pieces of the Denver Broncos offense in 2022, so it’s understandable to wonder why he isn’t at this particular workout when so many of his teammates are.
With that being said, Jeudy posted on Instagram on Tuesday a picture of some balloons in a hospital that said “Get Well Mom” on them, so he’s obviously keeping his family first, as he should.
Jeudy must have heard about the outrage from Broncos Country because he sent out a humble reminder on Twitter later Tuesday night that there’s more to life than just football. It’s a great reminder from Jeudy to not always assume the worst about players when they aren’t in a workout video in the month of March.
Jeudy also posted that he “can’t wait” on Twitter when the initial video of his teammates catching passes from Russell Wilson emerged. Rest assured, no. 10 will likely soon be joining the rest of his teammates for these throwing sessions which are getting everyone in Broncos Country hyped.
Again, it’s understandable to want to see all of the stars in the trailer, but like Jeudy said, there’s more to life than football…
Regarding the workout itself, it’s awesome to see KJ Hamler out, moving around, jumping, and catching passes. There was a recent report that Hamler is already back to sprinting as well and that he expects to be ready for Week 1.
Hamler unfortunately tore his ACL last year and missed most of his second NFL season after battling hamstring issues his rookie year.
Along with Hamler at the workout, other Broncos players in attendance included center Lloyd Cushenberry III, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, tight end/fullback Andrew Beck, wide receiver Kendall Hinton, and backup quarterbacks Josh Johnson and Brett Rypien.
