The Denver Broncos no longer have to worry about Tyreek Hill in the AFC West, who has been traded by the Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins.

The Denver Broncos can rejoice a little bit — the Kansas City Chiefs have traded wide receiver Tyreek Hill far away from the AFC West to the Miami Dolphins.

While this trade is likely very exciting for Miami Dolphins fans, it might be equally exciting for fans of the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers.

Although the Chiefs are only on the schedule twice (perhaps three times) per season, having to go up against Tyreek Hill even that many times per year is a huge thorn in the side of AFC West defensive coordinators.

Having Hill on the field was a true game-changer for the Chiefs over the last six years, and now Hill is gone.

Denver Broncos don’t have to worry about Tyreek Hill anymore

The Denver Broncos just added some additional cornerback help in the form of K’Waun Williams, but no matter who the team brings in from this point on, they won’t have Hill to deal with this year.

Not only do the Broncos not have to face Hill with the Kansas City Chiefs, but they also won’t be playing the Miami Dolphins in 2022 unless the two teams face off in the playoffs.

The Dolphins now have two big-time speed weapons at the wide receiver position in Hill and 2021 first-round pick Jaylen Waddle, and those two are going to be a lot of fun for new head coach Mike McDaniel to design an offense around.

Without Hill on the Kansas City Chiefs, everything has changed for the Denver Broncos’ defense. The Chiefs still have Mecole Hardman, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and tight end Travis Kelce, but Hill was a different type of beast out there on the field.

His track speed is impressive, but the speed at which Hill plays football is unlike anything I have ever seen before. He is a living cheat code on the field and the threat of his speed caused constant remotes to be thrown at TVs in Broncos Country.

With Hill out of the division, teams like the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Las Vegas Raiders should feel even better about the additions they’ve made. The Chiefs are now the only team in the division that has become markedly worse than they were a season ago and the loss of Hill is massive for them.

Will their offense still be good? Patrick Mahomes is under center, so obviously yes. With that being said, there’s no doubt that losing hill is a tough pill to swallow for the Chiefs and it will change the dynamic of their offense.
