Now the defensive line pipe dream. Before he signed with Jacksonville Jaguars there was a decision. Go home or get paid for Calais Campbell. Campbell grew up in Colorado before his career in NFL. He went to Denver South before committing to Miami Hurricanes. At a young age, Campbell showed he was a force as a defensive tackle.

As a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Campbell was an under-appreciated player on the defensive line. He showed versatility and physical prowess to dominant linemen was artistry. Campbell gives the Denver Broncos a strong veteran presence upfront and another vocal leader. Pro Football Focus grades are flawed, but during a five or six-year run he was unstoppable at defensive tackle. The average 90+ grade would put him in elite company.

Campbell would join a defensive line corps with Dre’Mont Jones, Mike Purcell, McTelvin Agim, DeShawn Williams, and others. He would join a Denver Broncos room with 100+ sacks and 10+ hits on average. It is a loaded stat book for Campbell and one that misses a Super Bowl trophy. Another surprising or not so surprising statistic is he has averaged close to 30 hurries as a defensive tackle. It is no wonder Campbell has 100+ sacks. If he has racked up that amount of hurries throughout his career.
