The Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones is one of the most productive sack artists and quarterback wreckers in the NFL. Jones ranks in the top 20 all-time sack artists. Sacks are a glorified stat but pressures, quarterback hits, and others are where it matters most. Despite 11 sacks Jones still brings that production. In the first regular-season game Jones had a robust five sacks in week one.

Being in the NFC West, Russell Wilson has seen Jones on the other side but with how close they have been over the years it cannot be ignored. Denver truly has a glaring need at pass rusher and Jones would be given the last opportunity to be paid and be in that Super Bowl window with a quarterback he’s friends with.

According to Spotrac, three years $43-million is the estimate for Jones. This would place him in the 11th best outside linebacker market. It is hard to see Jones in that market. Right around the same age were players like JJ Watt, Cameron Jordan, Cameron Hayward, and Brandon Graham. Watt is only one comparable from a player perspective. Still, Jones getting something around a two to three seems odd. If this is the first time he heads to free agency with a decision he can choose the team he wants.
