Denver Broncos: Seven dream free agents team should sign
La’el Collins
Full clarification: whether it is trade or free agency, La’el Collins seems like the most logical candidate to be the best right tackle option to target. Collins has played his entire career at right tackle with the Dallas Cowboys. He is not the best right tackle in the game, but he is one of the better players to focus on for the Broncos. At 28-years old, the Broncos would do well in focusing attention Collins way. The right tackle has been a revolving door like at quarterback position. It would be wise for Denver to have a right tackle for at least two years straight. Not bandaids at right tackle like the quarterback.
Bobbie Massie should be the backup plan if Denver decides to move on from Collins. 2019 and 2021, the last two years with Dallas he only allowed two sacks in both seasons. Collins does get penalized some. This past year he registered eight penalties and every single one was accepted. While Collins was suspended for five games he still achieved the best season of his career.
Efficiency is a stellar way to measure pressure allowed on pre-snap with sacks allowed. In 2019 and 2021 Collins had the best efficiency years with the Cowboys. Collins has been as efficient as Ryan Ramczyk. He would be worth the investment.
