Like a familiar Denver Broncos player, Hasson Reddick bet on himself as a player. Shaquille Barrett was an undrafted free agent signing with Denver. Barrett’s play in Denver became apparent over the years he was a better prospect than Shane Ray. It has created a discussion of keeping Barrett with Bradley Chubb still on the roster. Barrett signed with Tampa Bay bet on himself and became one of the better pass rushers in the NFL. Aside from Hasson Reddick being with two teams, the story is similar.

Reddick’s last season with the Arizona Cardinals he had 13 sacks, eight hits, 35 hurries. Before his first breakout season, Reddick showed his versatility with the Cardinals playing inside linebacker, outside linebacker, and end. He became a versatile, explosive player who started to truly find his niche as an outside linebacker or edge player with both Cardinals and Carolina Panthers. 2018 to 2019 Reddick spent opportunities all in the box. In 2017, Reddick had 170 snaps in the box and 253 defensive line. Tad has more balance than 2018 and 2019. 2020 to 2021 Reddick focused solely on his presence in the defensive line.

If Denver signed Reddick, it would give the team a flexible option in drop-back coverage and responsibilities as just a pass rusher. Before George Paton, the Broncos had shown interest in a player who offer opportunities to be in different positions. Under Paton, the draft pick Browning would give Denver two multi-skilled weapons in Ejiro Evero’s scheme. Not only that, but allows Denver the best chance utilizing threats in a defense.

Of all the positions, adding a pass rusher is the likely one where Denver could spend the most money.
