Denver Broncos FA leaving soon #3: Teddy Bridgewater, QB

The NFL is a quarterback-driven league, and although this might be hard for Denver Broncos fans to wrap their brains around, some team is going to pay Teddy Bridgewater a good amount of money to likely start for them in 2022.

I’m sure Carolina Panthers fans were thrilled to see another NFL team take Bridgewater off their hands last offseason and get a sixth-round pick back.

Not that it was a bad trade for the Broncos, because getting an average starter like Bridgewater on a reduced deal for a sixth-round pick is not bad at all.

With that being said, there was no way the Denver Broncos were ever going to bring Bridgewater back for the 2022 season as their starter, and that should be all but solidified now.

The fallout of the Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson situations is going to likely involve some team giving Teddy Bridgewater $10-15 million or more to be their starter for a season while they look to the future and sort things out.

I would expect, especially given the fact that Bridgewater is coming off of a career-best season statistically, that he will have a strong market and get signed by someone rather quickly.
