Denver Broncos: Free agents from the NFC West

San Francisco 49ers – Laken Tomlinson, LG

Laken Tomlinson has quickly turned himself into one of the best guards in the NFL in his time as a 49er.  Tomlinson has missed just 1 game in his career which started in 2015, and earned his first Pro Bowl this season.

Being that San Fran runs an outside zone scheme, and being that the Denver Broncos are going to run an outside zone scheme, signing Tomlinson makes a ton of sense if Denver wants to get some consistent play out of their left guard position, which has been manned by Dalton Risner since 2019.

Arizona Cardinals – Chandler Jones, EDGE

Chandler Jones might be the best edge target during free agency.  The future Hall of Famer has over 100 career sacks and a Super Bowl on his resume.

Von Miller and Chandler Jones have been the 2 best pass rushers of this generation, so it would be fantastic to see the Denver Broncos add another pass rusher of this quality.

Jones is unlikely to re-sign with the Cardinals and should be testing free agency.

Seattle Seahawks – Sidney Jones, CB

Sidney Jones’ career was off to a shaky start before playing with the Seahawks in 2021.  He played in 16 games and had 10 passes defended to go with 66 total tackles.

Jones has not lived up to his draft status so far, but he would be a perfect fit in Denver as a CB3, behind both Ronald Darby and Patrick Surtain II.

He also should not cost much, which is a bonus as well.

Los Angeles Rams – Von Miller, EDGE

Do I need to say any more here?  Von Miller was active on social media on Monday displaying his apparent interest to return to Denver.

Von built a Hall of Fame career with the Broncos and added to it when he was traded to the Rams during the 2021 season, helping them win Super Bowl 56.

Miller will probably have his number retired by Denver and will eventually have a bust in Canton.

Now that Russell Wilson is coming to Denver, perhaps Von Miller has an even bigger desire to come home and help the Broncos win another Super Bowl.
