Denver Broncos mock draft, rounds 6-7

6. Cordell Volson, OT/OG, North Dakota State

Going back to the North Dakota State program in round six, the Denver Broncos continue to take advantage of the outstanding offensive line depth available to them.

Cordell Volson was a punishing right tackle for the Bison, but could project to either tackle or guard at the next level.

The Broncos might need some swing depth and Volson is a player that, on day three, could give you some future starting potential at a variety of positions.

7a. Carson Wells, LB/EDGE, Colorado

Taking a double-dip at the EDGE position in this class with a local product, Carson Wells has been productive for the Buffaloes over the last few seasons, racking up 39 tackles for loss and 17 sacks in his college career.

7b. Dane Belton, S, Iowa

This post-Combine Denver Broncos mock draft is rounded out with an athletic safety out of Iowa in Dane Belton.

Belton posted elite metrics at the Scouting Combine after picking off five passes last season for the Hawkeyes.

The Broncos have some young safeties already on the roster but in the back end of the 7th round you’re always looking for players that can contribute right away on special teams with plus athletic traits.
