Under the radar quarterback options for the Denver Broncos

Davis Mills, Houston Texans

Davis Mills was thrown into a giant poop sandwich of a situation in 2021 with the Houston Texans.

The Texans’ offensive line was bad, and they had one decent weapon in Brandin Cooks.

Even with the Texans’ nonsense in 2021, Mills managed to complete nearly 67% of his passes for 16 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and a respectable 88.8 quarterback rating.

Could the Denver Broncos give up a day 2 or day 3 pick to acquire Mills from the Texans?

The Texans might want a bigger veteran presence under center while they rebuild, so perhaps Mills is expendable.

He would be in a monumentally better situation in Denver with better coaching, and a much, much better offensive supporting cast.

Davis Mills, if nothing else, established himself as a quality backup option in the NFL, but there might be a team who would be willing to take a chance on him.
