Denver Broncos: Three things team must avoid doing

2. Not investing in EDGE pieces

The Denver Broncos had a very rough time rushing the passer this season.

When was the last time we heard anything like that?  Bradley Chubb had a hard time staying on the field yet again, and players like Malik Reed and Jonathon Cooper were nothing more than replacement level in 2021.

With the uncertainty of Chubb’s long-term health and no other viable starter on the roster, Denver must invest heavy resources into this unit, given what division they play in.

The Denver Broncos need to make a splash signing in free agency like Chandler Jones and Haason Reddick and take someone with either 1-3 round picks.

Failing to pair Chubb with another quality starter is a bad idea, along with not drafting someone.

It’s a very real possibility that the team does not retain Chubb on a long-term deal, so that’s another thing to consider as well.

Denver has the facilities to make their EDGE room elite again, and they need to do it.
