Denver Broncos 4 defensive free agents to prioritize

2. J.C. Jackson, CB

The Denver Broncos do have a need in the secondary with all of Kareem Jackson, Kyle Fuller, and Bryce Callahan hitting the free agent market.

They would be wise to retain Callahan, but with his age and injury history, there is no guarantee he can stay on the field.

Plus, Denver needs more youth in this department.  Even Justin Simmons is turning 29 this season.

Enter, J.C. Jackson, one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and someone who has an insane 25 interceptions over his 4 seasons.

An undrafted free agent in 2018, Jackson has quickly risen the ranks of the cornerback hierarchy and is set to reset the market at the position.

The Denver Broncos have the cap space to hand Jackson over $20 million per year, and they might need to, given their division and the quarterbacks in it.

A trio of J.C. Jackson, Ronald Darby, and Patrick Surtain II would easily be the best group in the NFL.  Adding Callahan to the mix would be even better.

Denver needs to continue to boast a strong secondary, and adding Jackson should be a top priority.
