Denver Broncos free agents: Best fit for Kareem Jackson
Kareem Jackson enjoyed a very solid three years in Denver, after spending the first part of his career in Houston as a Texan.
Approaching 34, Jackson is down to the final year or two of his career. He has not appeared to give any indication of retiring and is probably set to sign with a contender this offseason to try and chase a ring.
Jackson had a back injury to end the season and has always been a very tough and physical player, so any team who signs Kareem Jackson will be getting someone who gives 100% effort on every play.
Jackson has intercepted a pass in 8 straight seasons and has had at least 50 combined tackles in every year since 2012.
Jackson may not give a team his usual elite play, but he’d be a very strong veteran presence and can still start most every week.
I really do hope Kareem Jackson signs with a contender and chases a ring. I’m not too sure if he’d desire a starting spot, as he might be smart to save his body a bit. Perhaps the Rams, who run a similar defense scheme to Vic Fangio, could use the secondary help.
Jackson won’t come expensive and he’d get to enjoy playing on a team trying to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
