Denver Broncos trade ideas with the Washington Commanders

Matt Ioannidis, DL

The Denver Broncos have a huge need along the defensive line, and with Washington’s stacked unit, perhaps they would be willing to part with Matt Ioannidis for the right price.

Ioannidis was drafted by the team back in 2016 and played in 16 games this season after appearing in just 3 in 2020.

The interior defender has 24.5 career sacks along with 59 QB hits. He has a nice interior pass rush presence and could be a huge boost to Denver’s defensive front.

The Commanders could save close to $7 million by trading Ioannidis, and if they are chasing a veteran quarterback, that $7 million could come in handy.

Washington would be wise to add a pass catcher in free agency, and with their elite front 7, trading one of the older players on that unit in Ioannidis makes sense.
