The Denver Broncos are looking at one of the biggest offseasons in team history, filled with some tough decisions, but some of these decisions should not be too difficult to make.

The 2022 NFL league year will start in just a couple of weeks, opening the door to free agency. Teams around the league are already looking at where to spend the money that is available to them and George Paton of the Broncos is no exception.

He’s got a lot available to him as well. Currently, Over the Cap shows the Broncos with $38.0 million available to spend on upgrading their roster.

Broncos have sixth-most available cap space

Paton is busy mapping out a route to improve a team that has missed the playoffs in each of the last six seasons. Incoming head coach Nathaniel Hackett will likely have a huge influence on some of those decisions, but all Broncos fans are going to want to see a team that can contend in the not-too-distant future.

One decision that is not going to be easy is the most important one of all. Who is going to be the team’s quarterback?

Does Paton look to put together a massive package to acquire Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, or will he go for a smaller acquisition such as Carson Wentz or Jimmy Garoppolo?

There is also the idea of drafting a quarterback. However, as I stated here if the team can’t bring Rodgers in, the best bet might just be to stick with what it already has.

In terms of Rodgers, the NFL world and fans alike wait for an update on his future, a decision that many expect is coming soon.

That decision is going to take a lot of evaluation. Here are some decisions that should not cause Paton quite as much stress.
