Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins

There has been nothing notable in news regarding Russell Wilson.  However, we now know that the Buccaneers are going to try and swing a trade for a veteran quarterback, namely Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson.

What we’ve known about Wilson is that he’s going to “explore his options” and I would expect an update on this soon.

We did get a bit of news on Kirk Cousins.  He is expected to return in 2022 as the Vikings’ starting quarterback, but the team will have to figure out the money side.

Cousins will need an extension, and it is currently unknown the length and total value of this expected new contract.

Russell Wilson does have a chance to be traded, but Cousins will return to Minnesota, so we can cross him off the list.

Jimmy Garoppolo

There hasn’t been much new information regarding Jimmy Garoppolo.  We do know that the 49ers and Jimmy G’s camp are trying to find the best trade partner.  It remains to be seen which teams would be in on a trade for Garoppolo, but besides the Broncos, I would expect teams like the Commanders, Panthers, and Steelers, among others, to explore trade options for him.

Jimmy G will be on a new team in 2022, and the Denver Broncos remain a suitor.  We have not seen any brand new information on his situation, though.
