Denver Broncos bargain free agents for 2022

Marlon Mack, RB

If the Denver Broncos want to become more explosive in their running back room, Marlon Mack makes a ton of sense.  The pending free agent and current Colt rushed for 1,000 yards in 2019.

He’s got insane speed and agility and could be a nice change of pace solution behind Javonte Williams.

He does have some durability concerns, though, as he played in just one game in 2020, and six in 2021.

Mack fell out of favor in Indy, partly due to the emergence of Jonathan Taylor, so it really doesn’t have a ton to do with his on-field ability and potential.

He’s not a great blocker or receiver, so he’s someone who wouldn’t see the field on a ton of passing plays, but playing in an outside zone scheme might be the best solution for him.
