Denver Broncos disappointing players in 2022 – Michael Ojemudia

Where was Michael Ojemudia all season?  He injured his hamstring before the season began, and it was considered at the time, a 6-week recovery.

However, Ojemudia hardly played in 2021, suiting up for just two games and starting one.

In his rookie season, he played in all 16 games and started 11, so there was reason to be optimistic that his second year would be stronger.

With offseason signings of Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby, the return of Bryce Callahan, and the drafting of Patrick Surtain II, OJ suddenly fell out of favor.

At the least, he was supposed to be a solid depth piece for the team, but only playing in 2 games didn’t allow him to become that.

With both Fuller and Callahan set to be free agents, Denver will have a slight need at cornerback.  Michael Ojemudia would theoretically get a chance to prove himself as perhaps the CB3 on the team during offseason activities.

With the Denver Broncos being in the high-flying AFC West, having a quality secondary is paramount, and many of us expected Michael Ojemudia to help that cause in 2021.
