In 2021, the Denver Broncos saw great play from some but also saw disappointing play from others. Which players were the biggest letdowns?

NFL players have bad seasons all of the time.  Even the best of the best are not always consistent year to year.  The Denver Broncos and their players are no different.  Their 2021 season was mostly up and down.  After 3 weeks, Denver was 3-0, but fast forward 4 weeks, and they sat at 0-4.

They had some big wins and heartbreaking losses, but another losing season was no surprise to some in Broncos Country.

As it pertains to the players, which of them disappointed the most in 2021?  While many impressed, like rookies Patrick Surtain II and Javonte Williams, others also disappointed.

Denver Broncos disappointing players in 2022 – Bradley Chubb

Bradley Chubb’s career got over to a monster start in 2018, nearly tying the all-time rookie sack record.  His 12.0 sacks got us excited for his future with the team.

In the 3 seasons since, Chubb has a combined 8.5 sacks, being held without one in 2021.

Sacks aren’t everything, as we know.  Chubb is good against the run, but perhaps the main reason why he’s disappointing is his inability to stay on the field.  Chubb played in 4 games in 2019 and 7 games in 2021.  He also missed 2 games in 2020.

Being the 5th overall pick, Bradley Chubb has not lived up to his draft status.  He has a big 5th year coming in 2022, and would be in line to receive a large extension after the season, either from Denver or someone else.

However, Chubb’s inconsistency and inability to stay on the field is a giant unknown.

After a disappointing 2021, can we count on him for 2022?
