Denver Broncos Super Bowl target No. 4: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, EDGE, Rams

One of the areas we’re undoubtedly going to see some aggressive movement from the Denver Broncos in 2022 is off the edge defensively.

Bradley Chubb’s health concerns over the last three seasons have certainly mounted up, and with Von Miller being traded to the Rams, a door has really opened for George Paton to look at this position group like a blank canvas.

Ogonnia Okoronkwo was a player many Broncos fans liked coming out of the 2018 NFL Draft and the Oklahoma Sooners program.

Okoronkwo fits the profile of what the Broncos are looking for or at least have been looking for in terms of an athlete off the edge with some explosiveness and intriguing traits.

He had just two sacks and six QB hits this past season, but obviously, he’s not getting a ton of reps out there, and the Rams sort of decided to make the bold move for Von Miller to pair up with Leonard Floyd.

Okoronkwo is the type of addition I could see the Broncos making for depth, and that wouldn’t be the worst idea given the fact that this team hit big on some similar athletic types of players this past season, specifically someone like Jonas Griffith at linebacker.

If Ejiro Evero wants to bring some familiar faces with him back to Denver, Okoronkwo is someone to keep an eye on. He’s also played a bunch of special teams for the Rams the past few seasons.
