Denver Broncos breakout candidates for 2022 – Jerry Jeudy

It’s time for Jerry Jeudy to put the league on notice. Jeudy was the 15th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and was set to be a huge help for the Broncos’ offense.

In 2020, with mediocre quarterback play, Jeudy put up over 850 receiving yards on 52 catches. By all accounts, it was a stellar rookie season, even though many called him a bust.

Jeudy suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 1 of 2021 and only played in 10 games this season.

He put up 467 receiving yards but was held out of the end zone.

What is encouraging is Jeudy is set to enter his age-23 season, so he’s still incredibly young.

Also, his catch rate from 2020 to 2021 jumped from 46.0 percent to 67.9 percent. His catch rate ranked above players like Brandin Cooks, Hunter Henry, DeAndre Hopkins, and CeeDee Lamb.

One would figure that George Paton is going to figure this quarterback situation out for 2022, and with an innovative offensive coach in Nathaniel Hackett, Jeudy is going to have a massive opportunity to break out in 2022.

Even with Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick on the roster, and on long-term extensions, Jeudy’s insane skill set makes him the most talented player in that room.

His speed is underrated, but he has exceptional route running and separation capabilities.

What was disappointing in 2021 wasn’t Jeudy’s play on the field, it was Teddy Bridgewater’s inability to get him the ball.

dark. Next. Has the price on Aaron Rodgers gone up?

Jeudy isn’t a bust; he’s had to endure pathetic quarterback play. If George Paton can put together an effective solution for 2022, Jerry Jeudy will make the Pro Bowl.
