Denver Broncos offensive line targets for 2022 – Trai Turner

Could the Denver Broncos target a five-time Pro Bowl guard who won’t turn 30 until 2023?

Trai Turner, the long-time Panthers guard, was signed by the Steelers in 2021 and played in all 17 games.

Turner does have injury concerns, he played in 13 games in each of 2017, 2018, and 2019. He played in just 9 games in 2020, which spelled the end of his Panthers tenure.

However, turner playing in all 17 games for the Steelers in 2021 is very promising.

Turner’s PFF grade in 2021 was a 69.4, and Turner is set to enter his age-29 season.

Trai Turner makes a lot of sense for the Broncos–he was on a $3 million contract with the Steelers, so he’d be in line for a bigger payday, but he isn’t someone who is going to break the bank.

The Broncos’ right guard position is probably settled with Quinn Meinerz, but the opening at left guard could be filled by Turner.

George Paton said the Broncos need to get better with their protection for 2022, and Turner, a five-time Pro Bowl player, would help the Broncos achieve that.
