8 potential starters at QB for Broncos after the Senior Bowl
Denver Broncos QB option No. 7: Russell Wilson, Seahawks
For many Denver Broncos fans, Russell Wilson is the top option in the 2022 offseason.
Although at this point the Aaron Rodgers rumors seem a lot stronger in Denver’s favor, the possibility of Russell Wilson can’t be ignored as rumors of him being traded by the Seahawks won’t go away.
Wilson was injured in 2021 and may have come back too soon from that injury.
For every year of his career before this one, it seemed like Wilson was able to carry the Seattle Seahawks into the postseason and ultimately, other issues on that team have caused them to fall painfully short of the ultimate goal.
Wilson is one of the truly elite QBs in the NFL right now but there are some who feel his play has declined noticeably in 2020-2021.
Personally, I would still not hesitate to send a king’s ransom of draft picks and whatever else the Seahawks’ way in exchange for Mr. Unlimited.
Acquiring Wilson would be a signal-fire to the rest of the AFC that the Denver Broncos intend on ruining the hopes and dreams of the Chiefs and Chargers while their star QBs are still in their 20s.
Getting Wilson would give the Broncos a great chance to compete for titles for the next 6-8 years, in my opinion. There’s not a price you could put on that that I wouldn’t be willing to pay.
