What are the chances of Von Miller reuniting with Broncos?
Though the Denver Broncos are not preparing for Super Bowl LVI, former Broncos linebacker Von Miller is.
When the Los Angeles Rams traded for Von Miller, it was with one thing in mind – reaching the Super Bowl. That goal has been realized and now, the Rams are looking to win it and Miller will be looking for his second ring.
Of course, his lone Super Bowl appearance back at Super Bowl 50 resulted in one of the best defensive performances by one player in the history of the big game.

But what happens when the dust settles and the season is officially over following Sunday’s game? For Miller, it will be entering free agency.
Miller will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, free to sign with any team. The trade that brought Miller to the Rams has always felt like a “rental” for the Rams in hopes of getting the Lombardi Trophy back to Los Angeles.
Looking at the projected salary cap numbers posted on Over the Cap, the Rams are one of the teams that are going to be severely in the hole in terms of cap room. If Miller intends to keep playing, a team is going to have to pay handsomely for his services.
That’s not likely to be the Rams unless they unload a lot of big contracts.
The Broncos, on the other hand, have a great amount of available cap space. They also have the kind of firepower to make some moves happen this offseason, turning the team into much more of a contender than it was the last time Miller was here.
It’s rare for a team to bring back a player that it has traded away, particularly so soon, but this one would make sense on a few levels.
For one, the Broncos aren’t necessarily deep at the Edge rusher spot. It is expected that the team will try to patch that up in the draft, and it should, but Miller can still go and would still be the best pass-rusher on the roster right off the bat.
Miller has stated on numerous occasions that Denver will always be his home and that he’ll always be a Bronco. That right there should be enough to at least engage in talks if there was interest on the Broncos’ side.

Time will tell if a reunion between the Broncos and one of the best players in their storied history can become a reality, but it’s nowhere near as far-fetched as some may try to make it seem.
